Be Internet Awesome Family Workshop

Raising children in the age of smartphones and social media brings new challenges and concerns for all families. That’s why we gathered together on Wednesday March 6th at our Be Internet Awesome Family Workshop, to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology among children and families.

During this event we had a parent to parent discussion about how to help our children use apps and social media responsibly, how to make safe choices in the face of online security threats and why being open about online activity with your family is important. Everyone walked away with tools and new resources to help your family make better choices online.  One lucky participant even walked away with a free Google Pixelbook!

We appreciate the help of our many parent, teacher, and student volunteers who all came together to make this event a success.  If you were not able to attend, the information discussed can be found in the links below.
